I would not recommend Painless Dentistry based on my sonβs experience. My minor son had an established treatment plan for a pulpotomy, commonly called a baby root canal. On August 27, 2026, I took him out of school on only his second day of the year for that procedure. Instead of following the treatment plan, Dr. Brad Rondeau placed a filling in the tooth. After that, my son developed significant pain. We returned for an emergency visit on August 31, and I was told that he should have received the baby root canal and that the tooth was now infected. I specifically asked whether he needed antibiotics, and even a dental assistant raised the question. I was told no. We returned again on September 4, and this time I was told that the baby root canal could no longer be done because the tooth was infected and that the tooth should have been extracted instead of filled. Staff then told me an antibiotic would be sent to the pharmacy. When I got to the pharmacy, I learned that the prescription they received was not an antibiotic and did not match what I had been told my child was being prescribed. The pharmacy then attempted to contact Painless Dentistry to verify the prescription. Acco

Worst dentist ever! Stay far away from them. My fiance went here a few times to have a cavity filled. Examination with a $40co pay, sent across for a cleaning $60 co pay, looked another time which was third time and the another co pay. He had the cleaning they never resolved the issue but kept saying he needed cleanings. Just running a bill up to collect copayments but not fix the issue the patient requested even after the first cleaning and unnecessary charges is absurd! He finally got his issue resolved with another dentist that we both love. I told him day 1 to not mess with them anymore. They care more about $ than they do their patients. Good luck if you decide to go here! I work in the medical field and would never treat my patients this way. Horrible customer service and treatment! If I could give it no stars I would!!

Going to the dentist sucks. There's no way around it, it's just not a fun experience. That said, Painless Dentistry makes the experience as tolerable as possible and their name is truly fitting. Every time I've gone there they do a quick and relatively painless job cleaning my teeth and the staff is incredible. I wish I had gotten their names to give shout-outs to specific members, but the lady at reception and both women who have cleaned my teeth are exceptionally nice and make the experience as enjoyable as a dentist appointment can be.

Worst office in Lansing. 3 times now my daughters appointments had to be rescheduled with no fault of my own. You get a text to confirm appointments, which we did. We arrive 10 minutes before her scheduled appointment and they tell us we can either wait to see if someone cancels today (as in wait in the office all day to see in someone cancels) or I can reschedule!? What kind of nonsense is this?! I confirmed her appointment and even showed proof that I confirmed it. The blond girl behind the desk got a manager and lied to the manager saying I showed no proof, I showed the manager or who ever she got the same proof I showed the first girl and she even apologized for the issue and the coworker βmiscommunicationβ (blatant lie).

I brought in my two girls for their 6 month cleaning and overall it was a pretty good experience. The staff was very nice and helpful when I was wanting to schedule all my kids at the same time. We did not wait long for each kid to get called back and into a chair. The dentist was very gentle and gave the best care and good advice for what needed to be done. π
